Eligibility and the Service
These Terms are an agreement between you and Stroke Technology, Inc. You must be at least 18, or the age of legal majority where you live, to create an account. A clinician or contractor who identifies as licensed is responsible for maintaining every license required for services they provide.
HomeStroke provides informational home-safety planning tools, including Home Plans, room scans, tasks, education, product suggestions, cost ranges, progress, and optional caregiver, clinician, and contractor flows. The public Website provides information and waitlist access; it does not itself access a camera, device location, room photos, or AI room analysis.
Not medical or professional advice
HomeStroke is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, medical, financial, insurance, tax, legal, engineering, or inspection services. Risk scores, scans, recommendations, prices, and timelines may be wrong or incomplete. Consult qualified professionals before medical, safety-critical, structural, electrical, plumbing, or financial decisions. Call emergency services for an emergency. Accounts, security, and privacy
Provide accurate information, protect credentials, and report unauthorized use. We may restrict access to protect users, investigate abuse, or comply with law. Health-related and home information should be entered only when you are authorized to provide it. HomeStroke is not an official medical-record system.
Personal information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
Room photos and user content
You retain ownership of photos, notes, messages, profiles, and other content you submit. You grant Stroke Technology a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that content only as needed to provide, secure, improve, support, and lawfully operate the Service.
Do not upload content you lack permission to use. Avoid including another person, sensitive document, screen, or private item in a room photo, and obtain any necessary consent.
Mobile AI results and safety-critical work
Mobile App room analysis may use AI. It can miss hazards, invent hazards, or generate unsuitable actions. Independently verify every safety-critical result. A confidence value is not a guarantee.
Never install a grab bar or load-bearing support into drywall alone. Confirm studs or blocking, anchors, fasteners, wall condition, load rating, placement, permits, and user needs. Use qualified installers and seek professional confirmation for grab bars, ramps, rails, lifts, electrical work, plumbing, and structural changes.
Products, costs, and benefits
Product information, prices, cost bands, budgets, availability, dimensions, and timelines are estimates or third-party information and may change. Confirm compatibility, weight rating, recalls, delivery, returns, warranties, and final price. HomeStroke does not guarantee insurance coverage, grants, tax benefits, financing, or savings.
Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to violate law or another person's rights; misrepresent identity, role, credentials, or licensing; access another account without authorization; upload malware or unlawful content; interfere with security; scrape or reverse engineer except where law permits; send spam; or present HomeStroke output as an unsafe or misleading medical claim.
Ownership, availability, and changes
The Service, excluding user and third-party content, is owned by Stroke Technology or its licensors. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use it for its intended purpose.
The Service may be unavailable, delayed, changed, or discontinued. We do not promise uninterrupted operation or identical features across devices and locations. Material Terms changes will be notified when required.
Account deletion and termination
Signed-in Mobile App users can delete their account under Profile → Privacy & Security → Delete account. A person without the app can use the public deletion request.
We may suspend or terminate access for a serious or repeated breach, security risk, unlawful activity, or legal requirement. Provisions that should survive termination remain effective.
Warranties and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Stroke Technology disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and safety.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stroke Technology and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits or data; or harm arising from reliance on informational output or independent third parties. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Law, app stores, and contact
Delaware law governs except that mandatory consumer protections in your home jurisdiction continue to apply. Contact legal@homestroke.com and allow 30 days for informal resolution before filing a claim. Any arbitration clause will apply only if separately adopted with legally required notice and opt-out rights.
Apple App Store or Google Play terms also apply when the Mobile App is obtained there. These Terms are between you and Stroke Technology, not the app store.
